Eco-friendly Materials: Bio-Based Plastarch Material (PSM)

Its ecological material combines plastic functional characteristics and starch biodegradable advantages. It is made of 70% renewable plant starch (corn, cassava, etc.) and 30% of plastic fillers. It has a safe combustion: it does not produce toxic fumes, if incinerated. If incinerated, it generates a white residue, which can be used as fertiliser. The starch is modified to obtain heat-resistant properties, making PSM one of the few bioplastics capable of withstanding high temperatures.

Uses: disposable casserole suitable for reheating up to 100ºC for 10 minutes, disposable trays, snack boxes, bowls, plates and cutlery.
